How Are They Judging?
Below is an indication of the judging process. If you would like to know each judge's taste in photography click on their name and you will see a statement by each judge.
On 1st August 2015 Stuart Pilkington will whittle all the submitted images down to the final 50. He will choose the 50 images that best respond to the brief:
'Document the land with your unique voice'
Between 3rd August and 14th August 2015 Al Brydon, Al Palmer, Alastair Cook, Ira Veles, Ludmilla Morais, Willson Cummer will mark each of the winning 50 images with a mark out of fifty, (Al Palmer will award a mark out of one hundred). They will base this score on how they best feel the entrant has responded to the brief and mark according to their personal taste.
Between 15th and 29th August 2015 Al Palmer, Amy Wolff, Andy Adams, Andrea Kurland, Grant Scott, Jonathan Blaustein and Marc Wilson will give the top 10 images a mark out of fifty, (Al Palmer a mark out of one hundred). They will base this score on how they best feel the entrant has responded to the brief and mark according to their personal taste.
The winner will be announced on the 1st September 2015. At the same time the 100 Mile Radius permanent online exhibiton will be published.
